People often tell me how lucky I am to be a professional photographer. And I must say that I agree! I am extremely grateful that I have the chance to meet wonderful couples, couples who are madly in love with one another. Having the responsibility to document one of the most important days of their lives is truly an honour.
So, when these couples come back for future photo sessions – maternities, births, and family sessions – I am absolutely ecstatic to be the one to witness all these key moments. Suzie and John go way back to my Grey Sparrow days, where I had the incredible opportunity to travel all the way to Val de Loire, France, to capture their intimate castle wedding. I immediately adored this couple as they were fun, laid-back, and made me feel as I was part of their family.
Suzie and John both live in the US, but their family resides in Canada. Last summer, they were in Montreal for an extremely small window, but it was long enough for us to plan a last-minute family session! We met up in Old Montreal, and I was so glad to see them again, PLUS meeting their beautiful son, Jackson. Although our session was less than an hour long, we managed to capture some great moments. Jackson was definitely a mover, he kept running around in all directions, keeping both parents and I on our feet! So much that we barely had a chance to catch up and chat, as the session flew by in no time! Looking back at these photos, I am reminded of how lucky I am to cross paths with wonderful people, and how privileged I am to maintain this relationship through the documentation of the chapters following the wedding!
